What is Nephrotic Syndrome?

In Nephrotic Syndrome, protein is released from the urine of the patient, due to which there is deficiency of protein in the body. This happens due to the damage of cluster to function smoothly in kidney. Non - initiation of treatment on time causes swelling in the body. Increase swelling refers to the amount of water increasing in the body.

Symptoms

1. Swelling in eyes and nearby areas and ankle (swelling is known as 'edema' in medical terms)

2. Foam in Urine ( indicates protein content)

3. Sudden weight gain due to water in the body

4. Loss of Appetite

5. Fatigue

Only relief is, there is very less percentage of mortality rate by this syndrome compared to other syndromes. There is no permanent cure for this, but to stop protein, Asteroids are available in the market. However, do not take any medicine without the advice of your doctor, because there are many side effects of these drugs. Do not consider yourself a doctor.

If someone in the family has kidney problems, then their children are more likely to have nephrotic syndrome, but it is not the case every time. In many cases, it is common for their children to be nephrotic even if there are no kidney patients in the house.
